Wonderful

Hoxton quality, service and cool art deco style are very nice. The breakfast was excellent. Reception staff were very helpful.

Although it was said that the room I booked was upgraded free of charge, I was given a room on the -1 floor, which was quite noisy and let in a lot of daylight through the curtain. I was very tired and wanted to sleep for a while, but this was impossible with that noise. When I reported it to the reception, they helped immediately and changed the room to a cozy room on the top floor, and we were much more comfortable.

Exceptional

Staff were attentive and friendly and the place was spotless. The interior is really nice and felt more expensive than some hotels. Nice coffee and herbal teas in the room and really nice toiletries in fact the shampoo and conditioner was nicer than my own expensive one!! The location is good with a supermarket just across the road with everything you need and a few nice local food places, there is also a free bus in the week which takes less than 10 minutes to get to Amsterdam central and runs every 10 minutes or so. The perfect stay would definitely visit again:)

A little peace of charming oaisis not to be missed in Amsterdam!

The property’s aesthetic and decor throughout the hotel is sublime, beautiful. They were kind to upgrade us to their Mezzanine room - the most spacious and dreamy room, just the attention to detail is superb. The service at the restaurant was warm and welcoming, their food is absolutely delicious. The location is just perfect for me, it is 3 mins walk to the tram station and nearby has local cafes and market too. The front of house staff were so professional and friendly, they even recommended some amazing local restaurants and cafes to check out. All in all, this hotel really made our trip to Amsterdam 100% better! Supreme ????

I traveled to the Hoxton Lloyd for my 21st birthday with a group of friends and we were amazed with the quality of service and the friendliness of the staff- especially Julia at the check in desk, who was so sweet and accommodating during our stay! We will definitely be coming back!

Great hotel and lovely staff

Great hotel and lovely beds! Good transport links to the city centre, the nearest tram stop was a 5 minute walk. Staff are very attentive, we had some small issues with the lighting in our room and they sorted it out straight away.

Relaxing stay at the Hoxton

Love the location - close enough to the city but far enough away to feel quiet. Very friendly staff and lovely room. Very convenient with two trams lined minutes away from the hotel.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was first class.

The room was too hot and had no means of cooling down and no windows that opened.

Great hotel for decent price

Liked the quirky room. Realize when you book it’s a national monument and this does not allow for standard rooms. For me this made it unique and very home like. Friendly well trained staff with a keen eye for hospitality. Location near East Amsterdam which is an fantastic area to discover .. trams leave 2 minute walk from hotel for city centre.

Only small thing I would say is that I missed coasters at the mini bar … and that the breakfast is expensive. I ordered not a lot and it cost me 36 euro. It was however delicious.

Nice new hotel with some service issues

Brand new property only 10 days open. Super clean and new. Typical Hoxton style, bit quirky but will be a good hotel eventually.

Being a new hotel you would expect some crinkles to be ironed out. Some things though are not up to scratch. Staff communication and training needed.

Good

Staff were excellent, Barbue was great.

The room was very stuffy - the windows were quite small and there was no aircon. May not be an issue for most but unfortunately I got almost no sleep the first night of our stay. I think other room types may have had aircon, I’m assuming it was lacking due to our physical location in the building (5th floor). Staff provided a Dyson air blade fan though which did help a little.

For the price, I would have expected better service

The room was clean and spacious for my dog and I. Bathroom was a good size and enjoyed the dog gift, it was nice extra touch.

The reception staff could benefit from better training, as they appeared to be in the process of onboarding. Upon my arrival from a 14-hour flight, I noticed that dog facilities were not provided in the room. There seemed to be a lack of understanding that guests needed information on how to pay for the tram. Additionally, in terms of location, it is quite far from the center of Amsterdam

Needs a few weeks to perfect their usual standard.

Sparkling new & a very designer feel.

Unfortunately the heat in the room was incredible even for a September day, and we ended up changing rooms at 1am. As there wasn’t any air con, and the rooms in the roof get very hot. Then The second night, one of the staff accidentally came into our new room at 5am. Which was quite terrifying during the night as we slept! The staff were very apologetic and gave us some discount but not quite the usual Hoxton standard we have had.

A little gem of a hotel

A very stylish hotel with a relaxed atmosphere. The bed was very comfortable and it has the best shower I’ve ever used in a hotel. Small touches taken care of - very nice toiletries, free bikes available to use, bag storage, good selection of snacks and drinks for room service. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about Amsterdam. The food was excellent and the cocktail bar was fun, with an unusual but good menu.
